Cannalytics

Mission: Cannalytics is a data analysis project with the primary objective of predicting international markets for recreational cannabis.  The mission is to provide accurate and insightful forecasts that empower businesses and policymakers in the cannabis industry to make better decisions and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Methodology: The prediction model was made with ensemble method (decision trees) combined with magnitude scaling (Canada's sales as the adjustment factor). The dataset was made with California's cities data, due to the state's size and diverse socioeconomic and cultural landscape. With this,  the project ensures robust and reliable forecasts for many countries.

Dataset used: Due to the absence of an existing dataset with the information I needed, I dedicated three weeks to create a dataset with online research to find trustworthy governmental sources with reliable data. It contains information about population's size, income, education, soft drug's use, violence rate, total revenue, gini, poverty rate, etc.

Results and Impact: Our predictive model have yielded remarkable results, enabling businesses to stay ahead of market trends and regulatory changes.
